Expecting mothers often ask the question, “what are your favorite baby products?”
This blog is one that I am excited about. During my pregnancy, I would read other blogs and mother’s suggestions regarding their favorite purchases. Now it is my time to share with you!
FIFTEEN: Soothie Pacifier
When I say Soothie Pacifiers, I mean a LOT of them. I tend to lose these daily (possibly hourly) as they drop and roll under the couch or to who-knows-where! It is great to get a lot. TIP #1: make sure you read if are for 0-3 months. TIP #2: get a pacifier clip so that you can clip it to your baby’s clothing.
FOURTEEN: Baby Bling Bows
The classic Baby Bling Bows are definitely a must-have for little girls. They stretch to fit a newborn perfectly, all the way up to an adult! These bows are also super comfortable and adorable.
THIRTEEN: Aden + Anais Burp Cloths
Aden + Anais Burp Cloths are my favorite burp cloth rags. They are soft and super absorbent. These also clip around your baby to act like a bib.
Correction: these are my favorite burp cloths that you can purchase. I have many favorite burp cloths that my mother has made. Shout out to grandma!
TWELVE: Medela Sanitizing Bags
Medela Quick Clean Bags are so handy! Remember how I said that we drop pacifiers constantly? Well, when I find them, I can put them in this bag with water and microwave to sanitize! I am constantly sanitizing the pacificers as well as all of my breast pump parts!
ELEVEN: Petunia Pickle Bottom Diaper Bag
Petunia Pickle Bottom Diaper Bag is the best. It is the greatest and cutest diaper bag out there! Though they may be a little on the expensive side, you can often find them on eBay for a lower price. In my opinion, it is worth it. My diaper bag is my new purse. This style is my favorite because not only do they have adorable patterns, it is super handy: backpack straps, large middle compartment, and fold out changing pad.
The MamaRoo is the best rocker! The MamaRoo moves like all of us mamas. It has five motions: car ride, kangaroo, tree swing, rock-a-bye, and wave. In addition to the movements, it has multiple sound settings, as well as a MP3 plug-in. The movement and sound settings can all be controlled via bluetooth with your smart phone!
The Boppy is the most amazing nursing pillow. It is comfortable and helps support your arm while you are holding your previous little one. It also has been so nice to have when family members come to visit Piper and need a little support under their arm. I got the basic Boppy and then ordered a cover so that I could wash the cover often.
EIGHT: Waffle Blankets
Waffle blankets were introduced to us at the hospital. The nurses swaddled her in a regular cotton blanket and then swaddled her in a waffle blanket. When she was newborn, it was so wonderful because it would stretch to swaddle and keep her warm. Our nurse said she calls them waffle blankets, so the name stuck, but many know them as thermal blankets. You can never have too many baby blankets!
SEVEN: Hannah Anderson Sleepers
Hannah Anderson sleepers are the absolute best. Not only are they adorable, they are also super practical. If this is your first baby on the way, just remember ZIPPERS are your friends. My husband and I would often choose the sleepers with zippers to dress her in because it was the easiest when changing diapers 100,000 times a day!
Hands down, my two favorite gowns! On the left is a Babysoy Gown, and on the right is a Nordstrom Gown. They are the most soft gowns! They both have snaps down the front, which allows you to easily dress your sleepy baby without disturbing them. Gowns are the easiest way to cloth your baby for night-time. Especially, if you have an amazing husband like I do that often changes diapers during the night.
DocATot is a very good friend of ours. Since Piper was born, she loved the DocATot as it made her feel safe and comfortable. Many other moms have also said this to be true. She sleeps so good in her DocATot. This is another item that is pricey but the quality is priceless.
FOUR: Boba Wrap
Boba Wrap is my favorite baby wrap! I have tried a couple but this one is by far the most comfortable and soft for baby and I. When I put Piper in the wrap, it brings her close to my chest and she is able to sleep sound. It was nerve-racking to go into public with a newborn, but this product truly helped me feel like she was safe, protected by her mommy, and I believe she felt the same.
THREE: Tula Carrier
Though Boba was my favorite wrap, this Tula is definitely my favorite baby carrier. It is so easy to put on and take off as I would put her in it for errands and then transfer her back to the car seat constantly. Many carriers require you to purchase an infant insert, but this is a new carrier that does not require one. It is called the Free-To-Grow, which holds babies from 7-45 pounds. It is comfortable, Piper loves it, and it is also very cute!
TWO: Halo SleepSack
Halo SleepSack is a God-sent. Piper loved to be swaddled since the day she was born. We have tried a few swaddles, and this one is our favorite so far. She started to grow out of other swaddles length-wise. This swaddle has a zipper that zips down (away from her face), easy velcro, and plenty of room for her to straighten her legs. Piper sleeps with her arms swaddled against her body, but when she is ready, it allows her to be swaddled with her arms out. I will be purchasing more of these swaddles in the future but this one surely has been a blessing.
ONE: Arms Reach Bassinet
Arms Reach Bassinet was given to us by our church community group. This is hands down our favorite baby item. This allows Piper to sleep in her own area, but it is close enough for me to reach to put the pacifier back in her mouth or comfort her during the night. It has handy pockets on the ends and a big compartment underneath. It is the perfect size and has allowed Piper to stay in the room with mommy and daddy, and sleep soundly next to us (thank you community group)!
I hope this was either helpful, or at least enjoyable! Feel free to share your favorite baby products with me in the comments below! I am only ten weeks into motherhood and still have lots of learning to do. It has been such a joy starting our family with Piper and it is a joy to share this blog with you!
